GENERAL PURPOSE RATING COURSE
Duration of the GP Rating Course is 6 months. There is no scope for leave or sick leave during the course. This is a RESIDENTIAL course (hostel is compulsory). As a part of training candidates need to be prepared for practical work including looking after living quarters, and the campus. This course includes mandatory Basic STCW courses required for CDC.

Distance Vision:

6 months. Course starts on 1st of January and 1st July
each year.
1. Passport
a) Compulsory at the time of application. b) valid upto at least 2 years after completion of course.
c) Passport should have surname
and given name.
d) Passport should not bear “ECR REQUIRED” Endorsement.
e) Name and DOB on passport and marksheet should be same.
DNS (DIPLOMA IN NAUTICAL SCIENCE)

2. At least 50% marks in English either in 10th or 12th standard

IMUCET is mandatory for admission in this programme.
Candidates with PCMB can appear. only pcm % will be considered.
Arts, commerce, medical students cannot do this course.
25 Years1. Candidates for DNS (IMU) programme must have 6/6 vision in both eyes or 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other eye.
Color blindness is not permitted.
2. Fully medically fitness as per DG approved doctors.
3. One can easily confirm the fitness. Search DG approved doctors near you and connect with them.Verify before connecting to prevent fraud.
One Year Residential Diploma in Nautical ScienceOne should make this course as thier first priority.
You should First secure good pcm %, then sponsorship test and interview, then IMUCET.
( Sponsorship test and interviews starts from the month of march and last till August)

You will join as same deck cadet as Bsc Nautical science but here you will save money and time.
You will have money for you before appearing 2nd mates exams.

B. Sc. Nautical Science

Here you will have to spend fee for 3 years in College and hostel.
You will join as deck cadet only here also but here you will get chance of job in
college itself and can prove your worth if You miss DNS by anychance.

B. Sc. Nautical Science

B. Tech Marine Engineering: Marine engineers take cares of all the Machines onboards and head the technical team of sea.

GME ( Graduate Marine Engineering)
is a one (1)-year post graduate course for students with a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture from any AICTE approved engineering college in India

Candidates who have appeared for the 8th Semester examinations and the results are yet to be declared, are also eligible to appear.

1 Year Residential course
out of which 6 Months (Pre Sea) Purely Residential, Lectures and Practical/Workshop
and remaining 6 Months (Ship in Campus training) Practical Experience in Machine shop, Operation & Maintenance of Marine Power plant systems and Auxiliaries
One should join this course if they love engineering and ready to make their hands dirty.
Marine engineering cadet and this cadet will be equivalent.
Cadet will become chief Engineer in this field.( Salary same as Captain of the ship)
You need o have sponsorship here and better to get it first and then college.
( Placements will start to happen in 3rd year 5th sem onwards mostly and in some colleges it may start in 2nd year also)

ETO (Electro Technical Officer)
Four month residential pre-sea training at the state of the art Ship-in-Campus
Eight months of onboard training as a trainee ETO after successful completion of the course
Certificate of Competency (COC) Examination is conducted by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India.
Upon receiving COC, candidate will be eligible to serve as an Electro Technical Officer onboard merchant ship

One should join this course if they love engineering and ready to entangle themselves in the wiring system of ships.

Cadet will remain ETO in this field.( Salary from USD/month 4000-6000 )
